In a fight or hard sparring, your face is your biggest tell. If you grimace or gasp for air, you give your opponent “heart.” Mental armor means maintaining a “neutral face” regardless of exhaustion. By controlling your expression and breathing through your nose, you trick your nervous system into staying in “logic mode” rather than “panic mode.” Never let them see you struggle.
